Bookable Study Rooms are located in David Wilson Library and at Freemens Common Cottages. When booking resources please note the following Acronyms for locations:

CW = Charles Wilson Mezzanine (Individual Study)

DWL= David Wilson Library (Group Study)

FC = Freeman's Cottages (Group Study)

SR = David Wilson Library Sensory Room (single or paired study)

 

Policies

You can currently book group study rooms and study spaces up to a maximum of four days in advance and for a maximum of two hours at a time.

 

Bookable Study Rooms are located in David Wilson Library and at Freemens Common Cottages. When booking resources please note the following Acronyms for locations:

CW = Charles Wilson Mezzanine (Individual Study)

DWL= David Wilson Library (Group Study)

FC = Freeman's Cottages (Group Study)

SR = David Wilson Library Sensory Room (single or paired study)

 

What you need to know about booking a group study room

As the person making the booking you will be responsible for the room and for ensuring that all users of the room during this booking comply with Library regulations.

Minimum occupancy for all rooms is four persons except for Room 2.5 where it is three.  Maximum occupancy is stated in the Room name.

1.1 is available to taught Postgraduates only.   1.4 and 1.5 are available to Research postgraduates only.

Please check the room descriptions before booking and comply with the stated maximum occupancy.

Furniture should not be moved in or out of the room.

To use the room simply find the room at the allotted time. Please bring your receipt with you as proof of booking or be prepared to show the confirmation email on your personal device.  If the room is not occupied within 30 minutes of the start of a booking it may be rebooked to another group.

Rooms may be booked for group study by University of Leicester students only. They are not available for individual study, teaching, presentations, interviews or for University meetings.

If you require a room for any formal assessment or teaching, please contact your department who should be able to accommodate you.

You are entitled to make one booking per day for up to two hours duration.

If the room is not occupied within 15 minutes of the start of a booking it may be rebooked to another group. 

Please note that all students will now require their university ID to access the Freeman's Cottages group study rooms when attending their study space booking.

 

 

What you need to know about booking an individual or sensory study room

You are entitled to book one individual room per calendar day.  

To use the room go to it at the allotted time.

If the room is not occupied within 30 minutes of the start of a booking it may be reallocated to another user.

Please do not leave personal belongings unattended in the room.
